A Resource Specialist employs many tools to help support childen with behavioral challenges at an underserved community. A horticultural approach to nurture children'‘s biophilia is a proven approach to address anxieties, promote exploration, and instill self-confidence through social action. Tanahworks was honored to have connected with Kaaren Nyberg and her passion, through USGBC. We volunteered concepts for a ‘Forest Garden’, that is a safe space that celebrates the regional ecology, encourage cultivation and instill mindfulness through a horticultural participatory experience.

Deerfield HOA | Irvine Client | Deerfield Community Association

As the Deerfield Community’s underwent its first major capital improvements in 40 years, we reimagined their plant palette, repurposing underused areas, and executed two pool renovation project within a span of three years. Care was taken to maximize turf replacement with native plants, installing efficient irrigation, and creating play areas that are shaded and interactive. We happy to provide pro-bono expertise and direction in increasing accessibility, wellness, and ecological awareness.
