A Resource Specialist employs many tools to help support childen with behavioral challenges at an underserved community. A horticultural approach to nurture children'‘s biophilia is a proven approach to address anxieties, promote exploration, and instill self-confidence through social action. Tanahworks is honored to have connected with Kaaren Nyberg and her passion, through USGBC, to develop concepts for a ‘Forest Garden’, that is a safe space that celebrates the regional ecology, encourage cultivation and instill mindfulness through a horticultural participatory experience.

Deerfield HOA | Irvine Client | Deerfield Community Association

The Deerfield Community’s journey on their first major capital improvements in 40 years, took them through reimaging their plant palette, repurposing underused areas, and a pool renovation project within a span of two years. Care was taken to maximize turf replacement and efficient irrigation rebates, low maintenance plants and materials, and play areas that are shaded and interactive.
