ALDI Distribution | Moreno Valley

Client | Contractor | Architect ALDI | Graycor | HPA

At the height of a historic water shortage in Southern California, mandatory water use reductions required the team to pivot, during construction, to a drought tolerant xeriscape. Working closely with the city and EMWD, this collaborative effort yielded a design that met the aesthetic goals of the client while saisfying EMWDs drastic cut on the project’s water budget. This not only saved on the annual operational cost but it was a testament to ALDI’s commitment to positive land stewardship with their first flagship distribution center in the West Coast.

SCE Energy Education Center | Irwindale

Client | Architect Southern California Edison | Ware Malcomb

SCE Irwindale desired an education center campus that is drought tolerant and celebrates Irwindale’s aggregate mining legacy. The addition of a parking structure severely limited opportunities for outdoor respites. Nevertheless, we created a wellness walk and outdoor lobby for the parking garage with ample native planting which showcased native aggregate at every turn.
